Tabula Rasa is defined as the blank paper; in which babies born in this world like a blank paper, knowing nothing. This definition matched to Mie’s condition, when she got amnesia after the accident happened to her. In fact, before the accident, she suffered some kind of memory illness, like lost her short-term memory at certain times.
After that, she had rehabilitation in the hospital, but one day the inspector came to her. She was suspected to be the murderer of the young man named Thomas De Geest. Mie who knew nothing about her past, tried so hard to find what is happened in her past. Then, her memory came back slowly, even just some part of her memory. This was the point when the present and past events back to back in this series.
The story is seemingly little usual, isn’t it? It’s about the woman who got amnesia, then she got suspected. The viewers might guess the plot story; the woman who is the innocent tried to find out who the real murderer, blah blah. Luckily, the plot isn’t going there. We often watch or read the story about the innocent people and they tried to get the real suspect. But, this show has a different story than the usual plot story. Mie slowly knew that she had an affair with Thomas and she was hiding it from her husband, Benoit. The story directed into the part which she afraid that she harmed Thomas because of it.
The story isn't only focused on Mie and Thomas relationship, but also her relationship with her family, especially her husband. She had an unstable relationship with Benoit, sometimes they were harmonic and caring, but they ever got several clashes too. Moreover, she had a good relationship with her daughter too. The marriage's conflict between Mie and Benoit emerged into the affair, not only from Mie's side but also from Benoit 's side. Their marriage conflicts evolve into the murderer's mystery of Thomas De Geest.
The emotional bluffing between each character is also awesome. It doesn't only focus on the marriage story, but also the emotional tense between Mie and her friend, Vronsky who is in the hospital too. Some side stories told about psychological illness, so the viewers might know some new things about psychology.
Ok, I stopped here. Surprisingly, this series has many twists. Also, this series started to like the horror genre. Mie believed many strange things in her house happening because of supernatural events. Also, she often got a nightmare in her night sleeping. Episode by episode, the genre change into the other genre, and I couldn’t guess it. There are some parts when Mie and Vronsky trying to crack many puzzles to find the truth about Mie's past.
Even though it slow burned in first-two episodes, but it carried its mystery until the last episodes. The viewers don’t know who the real suspect is until the very last episodes. I was encouraged to watch the next episodes because each episode always gave me thrill and surprise things. So, if you like thriller and mystery genre, this show supposed for you.

MY FAVORITE SCENES [SPOILER!]:
Thomas De Geest hiding place is one of my favorite places in this series; indeed magical and full of handcraft things

This duo acting get to the whole level!

I love the moments when Mie and Vronsky trying to solve many puzzles about Mie's past

Ho ho...one of horror's scene which is misleading..ups
The scenery in this series are aesthetic. The house is one of my favorites.

TV SHOW SCI-FI, MYSTERY, & SUPERNATURAL REVIEW! #3

Part 3 (Castle Rock, Undone, Maniac, Channel Zero) Again, having fun ride with me!! Let’s go Castle Rock  Castle Rock adapted from Stephen King’s novels. Castle Rock's popularity was rising after It, a movie that adapted also from Stephen King's novel . Castle Rock season one is my favorite than the second because the story is more scary and layered. It combines horror, mystery, and a little bit of science fiction so well. At first, it was more horror and mystery. A police found a strange man in a cage. The strange man gives several unlucky events to the people in Castle Rock. He called as the devil. But, who is he actually? The performance of Bill Skarsgard is never disappointed. He shows one of his best performances besides his performance as Pennywise in It. At the end of season one, the twist unfolds. This was when the story become more into science-fiction and supernatural. The second season is much different than the first; there are dead people becoming zombies and the...

Happy Reading #3

Hello! Welcome to the third batch of my reading routine. It has been so loongg, I didn't post something about books. I have something more important right now, so my reading routine has lef out awhile from my life.  Those books (Inferno excluded) have been in my list since July 2021. I've read 3 of them and I will write the "standalone" review later. First of all, I share you some hints about my four new books.  1. The Craftsman (by Sharon Bolton) When I found this book in BBW, I was honestly intrigued by the sypnosis. This book has some exciting elements, which are witchcraft and mystery. It look promising, thereby this book will be the last one I read. 2. The Fourth Monkey (J.D.Baker) This one is the first book from The First Monkey series. The book focused on the mystery of a death of infamous criminal. The duo detective in this case and the rest of team tried to find the truth behind the death, is  the criminal that they really seek after for a long time, or ju...
