Okay, I actually want and don’t want to review this show. But, I have to. Utopia, not like its name, it is actually nothing related to Utopia World. The title shows much as the goal of this plot story, but I’ll spoiler to you, this series doesn’t get that utopia.
The story started when five people who are fans of the graphic novel titled as same as this series, Utopia. But, it didn’t work well. There are only three people who met anyway, and the other two got the problems; being terrorized by the organization named “The Network”. The three people who didn’t know anything at first, trying to find out what happened with the other mates. It emerged into something horrible, the one died and the one named Grant running away, nowhere could be found.
These three people are three of the main characters; they are Becky, Ian, and Wilson. After the weird events happened, they involved in something huge. The two agents from The Network tried so hard to find the people who know about the Utopia manuscript, which is the second series of the graphic novel Utopia. Also, these two agents named Arby and Lee seriously tried to find Jessica Hyde. They killed anyone and did several brutal murders just to find Jessica Hyde.
The story leads into these three, they were being chased by Arby and Lee. After Wilson tortured brutally by Lee and Arby (he also lost his right eye), they were trying to hide and flee from these two terrifying killers. Eventually, they met Jessica Hyde, and then they knew that Jessica Hyde is a daughter from Philip Carvel, who is the crazy one making the Utopia Manuscript.
Stop right there. So, you confused, right? Why would the killer try to catch Jessica Hyde and whoever has the manuscript? What is Utopia Manuscript? Who is The Network? I feel bad if I told you everything. But, I will give you several clues. So, be ready, this might be a spoiler for you.
Utopia Manuscript is not only the usual graphic novel with the weird and aesthetic drawings, but it is also a big clue for The Network to find the right formula. The formula would be included in a vaccine. Then, what is the vaccine, really?! The vaccines would treat the Russian flu. What? Is there any Russian Flu in the series? The answer is…yeah, there is the group who is commanded secretly by “Rabbit” (this is the code name). This secret group was trying to make this mission, launching the vaccine after Russian Flu released. But, the vaccine is only treated certain people with a certain race. Yeah, all of this is purposed for reducing the population and there is only one race of human living in the future. I actually thought this goal overly used for movies or series. Weirdly, I was still engaged to watch this show.
The bad news of this show is actually the seasons. I am usually like the series which have the minimum number of their seasons. But, Utopia canceled after the second season, indeed its story was not ended properly. Despite all of that, the plot story is compelling, even though many of the scenes are gruesome. There are many turns and twists, and it was surprised me. I like the twist at the end of season one.
The main specialty in this show is visual. The visual is aesthetic, incredible, over symmetrically, and I found it sometimes too bizarre. This show used many colors and most of them are light colors. I love all of the scopes of filming, which it could take from certain sides, and they are often symmetrically. I fell in love with the visual of this show; I often see deeply and stop in one seconds to see the beautiful scenes before I continued to watch the next scenes. I appreciated the visuals, cinematography, and the filming techniques of this series.
At last, Utopia is an outstanding visual and entertaining story. The story is thrilling, full of twists, even though it is sometimes confusing. I found some of the original concepts in this series, so you should be patient to understand the story.  Ah, I also like several characters' development, too. It is worth to watch.

MY FAVORITE SCENES:

Urgh, the torture is way too cruel. And it affected Wilson, very much.
Love this revelation, when I finally know what is the importance of the Utopia Manuscript
My favorite visualization (first). Look at Lee, his position is precise with the background
The other favorite cinematography (second). Sunny, bright, green, and sky. Love it!
The third favorite is the opening! Idk what actually it is. But, the collaboration between violet color, sky, and artistic building is aesthetic!
And these are the three of main characters. Plus Grant and Jessica, they made a great team (and awful haha)

TV SHOW SCI-FI, MYSTERY, & SUPERNATURAL REVIEW! #3

Part 3 (Castle Rock, Undone, Maniac, Channel Zero) Again, having fun ride with me!! Let’s go Castle Rock  Castle Rock adapted from Stephen King’s novels. Castle Rock's popularity was rising after It, a movie that adapted also from Stephen King's novel . Castle Rock season one is my favorite than the second because the story is more scary and layered. It combines horror, mystery, and a little bit of science fiction so well. At first, it was more horror and mystery. A police found a strange man in a cage. The strange man gives several unlucky events to the people in Castle Rock. He called as the devil. But, who is he actually? The performance of Bill Skarsgard is never disappointed. He shows one of his best performances besides his performance as Pennywise in It. At the end of season one, the twist unfolds. This was when the story become more into science-fiction and supernatural. The second season is much different than the first; there are dead people becoming zombies and the...

Happy Reading #3

Hello! Welcome to the third batch of my reading routine. It has been so loongg, I didn't post something about books. I have something more important right now, so my reading routine has lef out awhile from my life.  Those books (Inferno excluded) have been in my list since July 2021. I've read 3 of them and I will write the "standalone" review later. First of all, I share you some hints about my four new books.  1. The Craftsman (by Sharon Bolton) When I found this book in BBW, I was honestly intrigued by the sypnosis. This book has some exciting elements, which are witchcraft and mystery. It look promising, thereby this book will be the last one I read. 2. The Fourth Monkey (J.D.Baker) This one is the first book from The First Monkey series. The book focused on the mystery of a death of infamous criminal. The duo detective in this case and the rest of team tried to find the truth behind the death, is  the criminal that they really seek after for a long time, or ju...
