Hello Guys! This month is really
out of hand. Coronavirus outbreak becomes more serious than ever. In spite of
that, I try to do my hobby again, reading books (fiction novels especially).
This early year, I bought some books, but I couldn’t finish those. So, this
month, in the social distancing move, I give a chance for myself to read again.
Before that, I want to introduce my book’s genre first.
I used to read fantasy and young
adult books (mostly dystopian world, magic, kingdom, dragons, etc). Then, I discovered
other genres. I try to read horror involving supernatural and uncanny element
(imagine novels from H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, or all the weird-twisted
stories and cults). That genre is my favorite right now than fantasy. I like
science fiction little bit, but it’s not about planets or the mega-bizarre galaxy
world, I more into time traveling, science-crazy stories (such as: weird
experiments, parallel world, or travel to past and future). I admit that my
genre changes because of my genres in TV shows too. Beside those, I also read
thriller and suspense novels, that I actually like since teenagers but those
were not suitable with my age back then (because many adult contents). Luckily,
I can read thriller books (if you know a movie titled “Gone Girl” from a novel
too with same title, that is an example of thriller book I said). The crime and
detective have always been my favorite genres. I love Sherlock Holmes books
written by Arthur Conan Doyle (Who in the world didn’t love it?!) and Agatha
Cristie books!
Okay, stop this small talk! In the
next section, I will publish some of my novels’ review that I had read.
